Night Temp Drops Across Valley, Pahalgam Records Minus 3.2°C
Weatherman on Sunday said weather most likely to remain generally cloudy on 2nd and 5-6th November.
“Light Rain/Snow is likely at scattered places during above period,” a meteorological department official said.
“There’s no forecast of any major rain and snow till November 10 in both Jammu and Kashmir,” the official said.
Meanwhile night temperature dropped across Kashmir Valley with famous Pahalgam resort recording minus 3.2°C.
The official said that Srinagar recorded minimum temperature of 2.6°C against 2.9°C on the previous night.
Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir, recorded a low of 2.2°C against previous night’s 2.8°C, the official said.
Pahalgam, the famous resort in south Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 3.2°C against minus 2.0°C on previous night, he said.
Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of 2.3°C against 3.3°C on previous night, the official said.
Kupwara town of the north Kashmir recorded a low of 0.7°C against 1.1°C on the previous night, the official said.
Gulmarg, the world famous skiing resort in north Kashmir, recorded a minimum of 0.0°C same as on previous night, the official said.
The temperatures have fallen considerably after record rainfall and snowfall in some plains and upper reaches.
